Sectionals

Yea yea. Had sectional practice yesterday. I played the oboe again. Yea. B flat is higher than B. The oboe guy is back. Yea? NOT!

I won't ever go back to band to play the oboe again la. WHAT the hell, right? I hate that instument of mass destruction to your ears. Horrible sounding instrument in the wrong hands and mine are just that. Well, not really. I'm decent whaaat.

Ok, still I had sectionals yesterday at Ang Mo Kio. Yes, I went to Deyi Sec. NO LA! I went to visit Ram. Not. Wonder where that "I'll kick your balls with my steel toe boots." guy went. Whatever it is, he sure was funnny.

OK OK, I went to AMK for sectionals. At my sensei's place. Wooo. Lol. Her place is not difficult to go to. It's just that it's far. Her MP is the PM. Wonderful, right? Yea yea. Played a few songs, taught her a couple of things about guitar, disturbed Jingshun. I really pity the guy. Lol. We had fun. Played the theme song for K-On, An anime about a band of girls. Check it out if you have time. The animation in that one is particularly detailed. Beats your Avatar, legend of don't know what, hands down. Then emo-ed one corner at some point. Funny la. She took one corner, I took one corner. In the same room. Lol.

Oh yea.. Before that, we jalan2 a bit at AMK central. Went to the arcade where some noob drummer was playing the drummer game as though he's so good. You ain't even using your bass pedals, boy. Gotta grow up, eh?

Really hapening la the place. There's this guy playing the flute and some guy singing along with it. Epic. Bought some food and drinks from Old Chang Kee and a random vending machine selling these super cool drinks from Japan in the middle of nowhere. My sensei is the best.

So yea, sectionals from 5.30? till around 9? Wah... 3 and half hour sectionals never flew by that fast la. How I wish band practice had gone by that fast. Oh yea, I also brought back a different guitar. I left with a BC Rich Warlock and came back with a Yamaha Pacifica. Well, my sensei liked the Warlock. What can I do about it?

I learnt a few things.

It takes me approximately 1 1/4 hrs to get to AMK.
Yio Chu Kang area has bad reception. What the hell, we ain't even underground.
Always ask Jingshun to tag along.
Dannish waffles are good but super sticky.
Sounan isn't all that hard with practice. (Progressing rapidly over the last few days in term of guitar skill, man)
My sensei is the best.
Serial epic spamming is happening.

Oh yea... JP has decent no food after 10. Crappy, right? I went to buy wax and hairspray instead. Wonder where I placed them. I make the best Milo in the world.

In school and blogging

Hmmmm... Dudes, I have been school for like 10 straight hours. Wooo. Lol. Got what I went out to do done and I'm just relaxing for now. Relax, blog a bit. Yea...

Got an urge to start jamming all over again. Seems fun. Jammed with the guys yesterday. It was a huge improvement from our previous jamming session. Good job guys. Work on the punctuality, yea?

I sang for the very first time. Lol. Face Down by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was what we played. I played rhythm guitars at first but switched to lead when I didn't want to sing anymore. Hehea. It was my second jamming session using the Warlock. Hehea. Wonderful or what? Loved the sound.

Yea... we aren't that bad. Then went over to Shoon's place in Kembangan. Cool crib, man. His lair. Lol.

Met up with my younger bro, Desmond at Bedok Reservoir to fish a bit. Of course, I didn't take part in any fishing. Spent most of the time there practising Sounan with Huixian. One day, I might make it, sensei.

Then went to Bedok INterchange to makan and headed home.

Woke up today to go to school. Finished my Friction and looked at tabs. Songs on my to play list include Sounan, Shuraba, Honest Mistake and Hysteria. I'm looking forward to Hysteria, beautiful solo near the end. Honest Mistake, hopefully with the guys from secondary school. Let's do an all star session this holidays eh?

I feel like I want to jam more. Study, jam, study, jam. I can't really play soccer or skate much anymore as it's really wrecking my ankles. Kinda sad about it but that's life, I guess. There's a cost to everything I guess.

So yeah, no time for girls. Lol. Won't make time either I guess. Hehea. So yea, adios for now. Yes, I'm still in school.

Been studying in school for the first 2 days of my term break. I know, it used to be unthinkable for me to go to school during my holidays but I'm a changed guy. Yeap. To say I've grown more mature will be a wrong thing to say though.

But I've certainly changed. Yea yea. That's for sure. Yes, I can still be the guy you can have a nice chat with. Send me a tag or something and we can meet up, I guess. I'll find the time. I always like to listen. Not to Techno and boring lecturers though. I'm working on changing that part on the boring lecturers. I just have to, somehow.

Anyway, on Monday, well, it was a good day I guess. Studied in the morning, movie and window shopping in the afternoon. Not bad by any standard. Hey, good and balanced is the way to go.

Studied yesterday. App Mech is a torture. Anybody out there keen on refreshing my memory on secondary school Physics, please step forward. Never forget your secondary school Physics. It will come back to haunt you.

So yea... I guess I'm trying to turn over a new leaf? Hopefully for the better. No more frequent late nights, no more slacking when I should be studying, listen more, talk less and hopefully be a more polite person. I know I'm the kind of guy who doesn't really think before saying something and I'm sorry if I've hurt any of you people in that manner. And I must curse less. Still curse because that's only human but less.

I actually skipped a birthday party because I'm in school, studying. I'm sorry, people. It's like 9 p.m and I'm still in school. Ridiculous. I guess there has got to be a compromise somewhere. Still, I'm sorry guys.

To clean up my act will take a lot of adjustments to my social life. Hehea. Anyway, I'm gonna say beforehand that I'm sorry if I can't make it for something due to me being selfish. I think I'll work on that too.

Compromise, compromise,compromise. An important thing you must do at some point of time if you are ever gonna have a good life, be it now or later. The world never revoloves around you. Don't be rash... make reasonable decisions. I know that sometimes, it's tough to do so but trying won't hurt you.

Yeah! I watched 4 episodes back to back just now. I'm currently waiting for the fifth to finish loading. It's definitely girly but it beats any shit Mediacorp churns out right now. I like the Aura guy. I don't know their names.

He's kinda weird but he's cool. Huixian agrees. Hahaha!

School holidays are in, mugging is in. I'm gonna start on Monday. Don't give a hoot. I'm gonna head to school. (Determined pose here) I've been watching too much drama and reading too much Manga. Must change that. Haish.

So yeah. I'm deadly worried about App Mech and ECCT. Yeah... Them 2 subjects are freaking me out. I need ECCT chapter 5! Must borrow and photocopy from somebody. Adeiii...

Oh yeah... My band, we're gonna play FACE DOWN by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I'm on lead guitars most probably. I can play with my eyes closed. Hehehe. ACTION LA! Wonder how the other kids are doing with the song. We don't have a name yet. Hirabi Four! Lol. Maybe not. We ain't even bitchy.

Missed my opportunity to go to Japan. Huixian gets to go instead. Lol. Only the two of us went for the interview. Sad, right? Anyway.... Sensei! Buy me a new guitar! I want a Gibson! Heritage Cherry Sunburst Les Paul. Ok, sensei?

I like Hana Kimi. Beats skateboarding. I quit skateboarding. And soccer. Yeah. I quit. No use asking me to play soccer/skate any more. I will not skate/kick a soccer ball again. I declare myself unsporting.

Bring me to life

I can finally say I'm content. I may not have all the things I want but what the hell ey? You can't have everything in this life all at once.

Things have been going well for me, thankfully. I'm starting to like going to school and stuff like that. I'd pick school over work any day, man. Stay in school ,kids. It's really good for you. Stick with it through thick and thin and you'll be rewarded for your efforts one day. It may not be tomorrow or the day after but it'll come. Have patience.

I sound like some mummy mummy but it's true. Go to school, get your diploma/degree, go work, earn some money, support your family. If you manage to do that one day, you have succeeded. It's good enough, man. You don't need a bungalow or a Rolls Royce.

Ahhh... Term break coming soon. Gonna mug like crazy. App Mech is killing me. It's worrying, man. I'm actually WORRIED about my studies. Wow. What have I done to myself? Hehea. I just reached home at 10 just now. From school. Hehea. I spent 14 hours in school.

I feel almost alive again. Just a little more. Yeap. Provide that spark, somebody.

I'm one of 2 people in class to come back for Workshop on Monday and we didn't have to be there. The guys who were supposed to come didn't bother showing up. Which is quite sad. Hmmm... Hope they'll open their eyes one day.

So yea, treasure school, treasure the opportunity to learn. We're fortunate enough to be given the chance, seize it, make full use of it. It's only good for you anyway. Study hard, folks.
